Music soothes even the savage beast

No, this does not mean I am a savage beast. Well, at least I don't think so. In any case, music is big part of my life. I listen to music constantly, and value my CD's highly, even above my roommate's life (don't tell him). I listen to all types of music, ranging from alternative to heavy metal to Christian. I like each for different reasons. Heavy metal music conveys a sense of aggression that feeds my destructive nature...er, I mean gets me pumped. Christian music has good lyrical content, which I think is lacking in a lot of other stuff. It also makes me think about my life and where I am at in it. Alternative, well its just weird and I like it. These are not the only types of music I listen to, but they make up the majority of my CD's.

At the present I am listening to the following groups:
Metallica I have always been a Metallica fan
Primus This needs no explanation-Primus is simply awesome
Jars of Clay Their lyrics are cool yet true to life (at least mine)
Sixpence None the Richer One of the few bands I can leave on repeat for hours on end
The Waiting I met them-these guys are studs and the music is cool
PFR These guys are just what I want to hear no matter what mood I am in

One of my favorite things to do is go to concerts. I try to go to at least one a month. Recently I have had the opportunity to go to more. The last one I saw was Metallica at the Arco Arena in Sacramento. It was awesome. They staged explosions and fires for us. I also always go to see Primus on New Years Eve. Been doing it for 3 years now, hopefully I'll be doing it for a lot more. I do watch MTV, but usually just to see if Beavis and Butthead is a re-run. Well, I think that about sums it up for me on this subject.
